In an attempt to eliminate unwanted noise from our extracted stems, an approach we tried was post-production equalization. This method uses some EQ methods with some of MATLAB’s audio toolbox functions. One function that worked well multibandParametricEQ System. Depending on the specific stem extraction, we could allow only certain frequencies to be passed through which worked as a type of custom filter. The results proved to work very well, though not perfect, at eliminating very high end noise and allowed the extracted stem to be heard more clearly.
